is that you always have a sense of humor.
Like no matter what is going on.
And that consistency,
to have that within
you is like, Yes, that's your essence.
And that has been such
a welcome surprise.
Like, remember
when I threw and I pitched a baseball
at you
and you were- you're swinging
and yeah, I hit your eye.
- Yes, I still have it. - And that’s the reason your eye is smaller
than the other one
and you're literally bleeding.
And I and my brother were crying
because I was like 12.
And
what did you say after you know,
taking a second
to just realize what was happening?
You're like, Oh, no, I damaged-
I got blood on my new Giants jersey.
Like. - I was bleeding.
You- but you made a joke.
Like that was the first thing you did
when you saw your kids crying.
Was you made us laugh and you made us,
like, realize
it wasn't that big of a deal.
And even though I had a lot of guilt over
it, like,
you're just like,
so generous with your heart.
And I think you do that through humor.
And yeah, I love that about you.
Okay. - What-
What? - What are you...
Hesitant.
Hesitant. - To.
To ask
the... - Me.
Me... you.
Me, and why?
What is hesitant for me?
And why?
Here, almost. - Okay.
Well, let's just try one more time.
You got it.
You got it.
What are you hesitant to ask you?
- Me. - Me?
What?
Hmm...
You. It’s your turn.
What am I hesitant to ask you?
And why?
Hmm.
I guess, um,
sometimes I'm hesitant to ask you
more about
visiting Mexico
and for you
to come with me when I go.
Because you've already explained
how hard it was for you
being born there and growing up there.
And
you've just said, like,
that's more of you
for- an adventure for you to do
without me. Like, I'm done.
So I know I asked you
that before. Um,
yeah.
Yeah, that was a trip.
That's over time.
It has been always a trip. Like this is it.
I was also asking like,
Well, and I was.
I was telling.
I was telling myself and telling
the family.
I said, that's what she wants.
And I said, And that's,
that's what she wants.
Yeah.
And I had a different experience
going to Mexico because I got to choose
to go and like, you know, choose
to have my own experience
there on my own terms
as like a young adult at like 18
and then again at like in my twenties.
And
I still- I'm still going to ask you,
even though I'm hesitant
to ask it,
I would love to go to Puebla with you.
I would love to see it
from your perspective.
There's no one else
I'd want to go to Puebla with,
and that's
one of the few cities in Mexico,
like at least major cities
that I haven't gone to yet.
So... - So that's a trip...
I’m like, Okay, yeah, that’s what you want. - Yeah.
Let's do it.
That’s one thing. I’ve told you. - Really?
Is like, Okay, your mom wants to go there too.
We go to the other side.
And I'll, I'll follow you on your- on your
Yeah. On your trips. - Thank you.
Okay.
Yeah. - Wow.
Let’s go.
You heard it here first.
Okay, no, it’s my turn.
Go ahead. - Nice.
In what ways do
you think I still want your approval?
And why do you think that is?
What do I think?
Is my approval. - Yes, why do I- your approval.
How do you...
Where do you think I want your approval?
On what topics?
Well, that was when you were very young.
No, right now, like right now. - Right now?
Where do you think
even though I'm an adult,
how do you think I still seek
your approval?
You do not.
I have
something to say right now,
I have something to say.
And that's.
You don't have my approval.
- I don’t have it? - You have- you have personal.
You only have...
That's what I say.
You're on your own
and I follow you on any level.
And- and that's that.
Wow.
I don't have to say. And I do not.
And I've always been this for
Oh my God, like
a lot of time,
many, many, many times
you don't have my approval.
I don't ha-
I don't need your permission?
No.
You just ask me.
But I don’t say... - Right.
Yes or no.
I'm like, what do you think?
What do you wanna do?
I just say it. I just tell you.
But I don't have to ask your approval.
Yeah, it's yours
since... - It's- right.
Okay.
Yeah.
There you go.
What does my love feel
for?
Feel like.
Um...
It feels like the sun.
The sun?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's just a-
Just. That was.
It’s love. - Yeah.
It's warm and it's...
The sun is like a father figure in a way.
It brings life
in astrology.
So...
That’s it. - Alright. My turn.
If- Okay.
If this were to
be our last conversation ever,
what would you never want me to forget?
I don't want you
to lose forever is
my love.
I actually want to.
And I have told you this before.
Like what I really want to be.
And burn it, Burn it
and throw it in the lake.
You want to be- yeah, your ashes.
I have told you that. And I have told ___________ too.
That’s-
That's it. That's.
I don’t need anything else.
I just want that
and I said, Think-
think of me and be afraid. Be...
feel it and think of it with music
and- and I said don’t be...
Don't be sad. - Don't be sad.
That's it.
All right, I won’t or I'll try not to.
Yeah, that's it.
